【October 12】The 8th ZUSHI PADDLE MEET

On Monday, October 12, 2026, The 8th ZUSHI PADDLE MEET will be held at Zushi Beach and in Zushi Bay, Kanagawa.

The event features SUP races and OC6 sprint races, with classes for kids and less-experienced racers as well as experienced paddlers.

Now in its 8th year, ZUSHI PADDLE MEET brings paddlers together to enjoy competition, the ocean, and the community surrounding paddle sports.

Race Categories

SUP Races

  • 2 km
  • 4 km
  • Kids Class

The SUP races will be held on a buoy-marked course, with a standing beach start and beach finish.

OC6 Sprint Races

  • Elite Class
  • Challenge Class
  • Kids Class

The OC6 sprint race is planned as an approximately 500-meter course, using an offshore turning point approximately 200 meters from shore.

Courses may be changed depending on weather, sea conditions, or safety considerations.
The Kids Class may not be held depending on the number of entries.

Entry Fee

Adults: JPY 4,000
Elementary School Students and Younger: JPY 2,000

An additional JPY 1,000 applies for double entry.

Entry fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the participant, failure to attend on race day, or cancellation of the event due to weather, natural disaster, or other unavoidable circumstances.

Entry Deadline: September 23, 2026

Registration may close before the deadline once the maximum number of participants has been reached.

The registration forms are currently being prepared.
Entry links will be posted once they become available.


Safety

All SUP competitors are required to wear a leash and personal flotation device (PFD).

Safety boats will be positioned on the water for both SUP and OC6 races, and competitors will be visually monitored during racing.

The organizers will also work in cooperation with the Zushi Marine Federation to respond to sudden changes in weather and sea conditions.
