JOCA 2026 Outrigger Canoe Experience

Participation Fee: JPY 500 per person (includes insurance)

Expected Number of Participants: 150

Canoes Planned for Use: OC6 and OC4, 8 canoes in total

How to Participate

Advance Registration
Please apply using the entry form at the bottom of this page. Registration will close when the maximum number of participants has been reached.
Check-in on the Day
Please come to the event main tent during the designated check-in time. At check-in, please pay the participation fee of ¥500 per person and sign the participation consent form.
Canoe Experience
After completing check-in, participants will be guided to the canoes. Depending on the number of participants and event conditions, you may need to wait before your canoe experience begins. We ask that you allow plenty of time on the day for your canoe adventure.

Cancellation Notice
In the event of cancellation, an announcement will be posted on the JOCA website at 6:00 a.m. on the day of the event. Please note that the event may also be suspended or cancelled after it has started due to sudden changes in weather or sea conditions.

Participation Eligibility
Anyone may participate except pregnant individuals and infants. However, depending on the conditions on the day, preschool-age children may not be permitted to participate. We will not allow anyone who has been consuming alcohol or who appears to be intoxicated to participate in the event, even if you have paid for your experience and signed the consent form.

Participation Agreement

Please read and fully understand the following terms before participating in the event.

I agree to follow all instructions and directions given by canoe instructors and event staff both on land and on the water.
I understand that I will get wet while participating in the canoe experience.
I agree not to hold the organizers, operators, cooperating organizations, or any related parties responsible for any accidents, injuries, damage to personal belongings, loss of property, or other incidents that may occur during the event.
I agree to pay the participation fee of JPY 500 and sign the required consent form. Participants under the age of 18 require consent from a parent or legal guardian. If the parent or legal guardian will not attend the event, a consent form signed in advance must be submitted at check-in.

Personal Information

The personal information provided through this registration will only be used for purposes related to the operation and management of this canoe experience event.

Use of Photos and Videos

Photos and videos taken during the event may be used in brochures, posters, websites, and other materials produced by the Association, as well as for other public relations activities, for the purpose of promoting and supporting the healthy growth and development of outrigger canoe activities.

Media Coverage

Newspapers, television stations, and other media organizations may cover the event. We appreciate your cooperation in the event of media interviews or filming.

Health and Physical Condition

Extremely hot weather is expected. Please take appropriate precautions against heatstroke and participate only when you are in good physical condition. Participation while under the influence of alcohol is not permitted.
