On Sunday, November 15, 2026, THE RACE 2026<\/strong>, an outrigger canoe race hosted by Wailea Canoe Club Japan, will be held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This long-distance race takes place between Zaimokuza, Kamakura and Chigasaki<\/strong>, with separate outbound and return legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEN, WOMEN, and MIX divisions will be offered, and participation from overseas clubs is also expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entries are now open.<\/strong>

The race will be held in light rain. In the event of severe weather, the race will be canceled with no alternate date.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outbound: WOMEN
Return: MEN
MIX: Outbound or return, depending on the number of entries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MIX division may be assigned to either the outbound or return leg depending on the number of entries and the need to balance canoe numbers between the two legs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MEN\uff08OPEN \/ MASTERS 45+\uff09
WOMEN\uff08OPEN \/ MASTERS 45+\uff09
MIX\uff08OPEN \/ MASTERS 45+\uff09<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paddlers aged 45 and over are eligible for the MASTERS division.<\/em>
V6 \/ Unlimited entries will compete in the OPEN division.<\/em>
The MIX division requires at least two female crew members.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry Fee<\/strong>
JPY 72,000 per team \/ crew
A partial refund is planned in the event the race is canceled.<\/em>
The fee includes light refreshments at the awards ceremony.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
